By integrating continuous insulation between concrete wythes, these panels deliver the clean, high-end appearance of architectural precast while improving thermal efficiency and helping reduce energy loss through the building envelope.

At TKL, insulated architectural precast panels are manufactured under controlled plant conditions to ensure consistent quality, finish, dimensional accuracy, and long-term performance. How it works

An insulated precast panel is typically made up of:
 

  • An exterior architectural concrete wythe

  • A layer of rigid insulation

  • An interior structural or backup concrete wythe
     

This creates a strong, efficient panelized wall assembly that can provide excellent thermal performance while maintaining the durability and low maintenance benefits of concrete.

The insulation thickness can be tailored to suit the thermal requirements of the project. Approximate effective insulation values are often based on the insulation material selected, most commonly polyisocyanurate, extruded polystyrene, or expanded polystyrene. Actual assembly performance can vary depending on panel design, connectors, thermal bridging, and project requirements.
